So, this last weekend I had those looooove posts all scheduled to go up on their own because my man whisked me away for a romantic weekend on a little island off the California coast. It was lovely and relaxing, and exactly what I needed. I read a whole book and caught up on months of back issues of all my magazines. I ate a lot, slept a lot, and sunbathed a lot. And I am happy.
Now that I'm back and getting settled back into the normal way of life....here are some more questions and answers for ya.
{A.k.a a lazy post.}
Don't worry, I'll be back in all my glory tomorrow.
First set of questions from the lovely Jen of Buried with Children. Seriously, I LOVE this girl. She is sweet, funny, sweet, loyal, and she is seriously the best mom I may *not* know but know. Her blog is so evident of how much she loves her kids, and yet, she's honest about the ups and downs of it all. And did I mention she has triplets? She's not even crazy, either. Weird, I know.
Okay, so Jen wants to know:
Alright Summer, I want to know how did you get your name?
I got my name from my mom and dad. But, I have a feeling you want more of a story than that.
So both my parents loved the sun and warm weather, and the fact that I was born in the dead of winter....well, summer just sounded like a great idea.
Okay, so I don't they ever actually told me that themselves, but I like to think it's true. I also like to think that the moment I was born I brought such sunshine in their life, and the warmth was so intense that they could only name me Summer.
Either it was all that or they just liked my name.
Where do you find all your awesome clothes?
I think you may have started to figure this part out by my Fashion Friday's, but I have a hard time spending a lot of money on a single item of clothing. I like a variety of items, so I would much rather choose quantity over quality. Plus I get bored with stuff, so I filter things in and out. Not to mention, we are on a single family income, so I can't buy expensive even if I wanted to. So all that to say....my go to shops are: Sally's (Salvation Army), TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls, and Forever 21.
How did you get to be so cute?
Now, this is certainly a 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' type thing. But, you are definitely my new fave friend for thinking so.
How does one get to be your BFF?
Oh this is easy. Watch my kids every day for 8 hours for free and you are in. Also, compliment me every hour on the hour. Like, I said. Easy.
Can I be next in line if things with Mama Kat don't work out?

Mama Kat is my BSF, and while nobody could ever take her place, the role of soul sister is another story. And that my girl, you have.
And now, we have Sera from Laughing through the Chaos. Another hot mama blogger who tells it like it is. And she's cute. And sweet. And super cute. And did I mention she's cute?
Will you ever reveal what BSF stands for?
Yes, I will. On my next questions and answer post, I will finally reveal what BSF stands for. Until then, keep guessing.
Do you have a fashion budget, or a regular budget that you are bound to? I used to do a budget religiously for a couple months, but that wasn't really too fun, so I'm taking a break from that, as stupid as it may be. You seem to find such great deals, so I just wonder if you have a limit or not.
I haven't ever had a shopping limit, but since we are now trying to save for a house and my shopping can at times get out hand, I am now being put on a budget. But, it's not just for me. Jimmy has quite the habit of spending money when it comes to eating out and Starbucks. So, from this point forward, we each get a said amount of spending money each week and when it's gone it's gone.
Ya, we'll see how long that lasts.
What's your most favorite book of all time, and why should we read it?
I have two.
The first is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and the second is Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson.

Redeeming Love is the best love story ever. Ever. After years and years of being told I needed to read it, I finally picked it up and it devoured it in just days. This woman, the main character, was so broken. So beaten down by men, by life....and then she meets 'the one.' Yet her pain, her walls, they hold her back...ugh. I can't even begin to describe the emotions I felt reading this. I saw myself in her, and maybe that's why I loved it so much.

Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas was sweet and intense and moving, and it motivated me to keep a journal for my kids. I read it forever ago, but just recently bought it and can't wait to read it again and again and then pass it on to Chloe one day. It's one of those books that stays with you. I love those kind.
Annnnnnd that's it for today. Have questions of your own? Leave them here on the Blog Frog!
