I love challenges.

They totally get me going and energized and ready for change.
Which is why I came up with this idea for 21 days to a better you.
I'm going to create a little 21 day challenge for myself,
where each day of the 21 days,
I will do or start something that will help and motivate me to be, do, and become better.

I am so ready.
So excited.
And I know in the end it will be a journey worth having taken.

Most of you know that for the most part, I have given up gluten and sugar for an undefined amount of time.
But, I've allowed little cheats here and there.
On this 21 day challenge, I'm giving it up the entire time.
NO CHEATS.

I just feel that for too long, I keep saying....
I'm going to....
Or, I should....
Or, one day....

Well that day is today.
Feb 21.
On this 21st begins my 21 days.

Loooooove it.

Each day I'll add a little blurp of what that days challenge will be,
{look for the link under my header that says, a personal challenge: 21 days to a better you}
just in case anyone wants to follow along or...
maybe even join in with me!
Cause you know, I would so totally be honored to have your company!

And also....
I don't have all 21 days challenges set in stone,
so if you have any suggestions,
I'd love to hear them.

today's challenge:
think of something you are willing to give up for 21 days,
and commit to it once and for all.
write it down.
tell someone so they can help to hold you accountable.
and remember,
it's just for 21 days.
you can do anything for 21 days.

20 people have something to say about all that...:

Here we go... no SWEETS for 21 days.
None! I'm not saying "no sugar" because i'll die without it(dramatic much?)... but no sweets!

This is always the time of year when I give something up, but its for 40 days since I'm catholic and lent started this week. I'm giving up snacking - it should have some awesome benefits!

hmmm...how about if I give up calling myself fat for 21 days? When I feel like calling myself that, I need to look at the positives about my body! :)

I cut out sugar and I LIVE on Truvia. Its really good and sugar like. I use it in my tea, my grapefruit, my home made salad dressings. I dont know if thats cheating in your book because it will make you not miss it. Except in like cookies cakes doughnuts that kinda stuff

Wow! What a fantastic idea! I think you're smart to take these changes in small steps and to get a lot of support along the way. I gave up coffee for Lent, so I'm on day five (right? five? I don't know anymore, I'm in withdrawl!) and it's HARD. Glad to know other people are making changes too!

Stopping by from SITS!

Wonderful idea, I love it! I'm going to be giving up my sugary treats which I think I'm seriously addicted to. Should be a challenge but I'm excited!

What a great idea! I'd join you, but I've decided to give up eating out (buying anything to eat or drink from someplace other than a grocery store) for the next 38 days and I don't think I can add on any new challenges-it's already driving me crazy to give up Starbucks and my frozen yogurt place. Good luck though!

I'm trying to think of something I really really want to give up and that I know I will stick too. Hmm, this is going to take a little bit..lol

good luck with this! 21 days doesn't sound long... but it must feel like an eternity when a craving hits for whatever you're giving up!
