So, it would seem posting these on Fridays is near impossible.
However, Monday's seem just as good a day as any I'd say....(I know this has been tough on you, the inconsistency of it all, I'm sure).
We'll see how I do with Monday's.
I really DO want to have a regular posting schedule so as to keep me on track with my writing habits, and I'm thinking perhaps that might happen once school starts.
{I love Lauras Friday links, maybe I can do that too instead?}

Speaking of school, have I mentioned how much I love school?
A. Lot.
Now, here's what I've been wearing on the latest Mommalogues episodes.

I absolutely believe in using the positive parenting approach. However, you all have not met my kids, and I must say my kids are kind of smart.
Smart in that they like to keep me guessing on what works and what doesn’t as far as discipline goes. For example, when Jimmy spanks Chloe….she laughs. It’s absolutely hilarious to her. So, we have to set out to find another method.
And it’s become an hour by hour approach.
And it’s tiring.
But, these are the things you discover over a very long summer vacation.
Oh yes, good times over here.
(and this is where I ask for parenting advice!)

There are so many amazing yummy meals that I miss since changing our diet (see my blog for more info), so this list really could be endless.
Breakfast food from Denny’s, Souplantation everything, Five Guys Burgers…. but, there is only one food that my heart desires no matter what my mood, and that is pizza.
Oh glorious pizza.
Believe it or not, I would even choose pizza over chocolate.
I know, crazy, right?
As for my kids, I’m pretty sure I passed on my addiction to them as well.
And while we’re trying to break bad habits, my head has not quite caught on.

Believe it or not, my husband and I don’t drink. Period. Well, Jimmy doesn’t ever drink. I, on the other hand, will sometimes enjoy one or two every 6 months when I’m out with friends. But, because alcoholism runs in our family in a bad way, we’ve chosen to just completely take it out of our lives. However, (and I wrote about this on allParenting.com) we are still super fun people, so please still invite us to your parties. Please?!?

This question really got me thinking….and quite possibly had me feeling a tad bit of mommy guilt.
Is encouraging your children to explore yet another task of a mother??
Are we also supposed to tag along and explore with them???
Sigh.
Now, I feel I have to step it up and do more than just say, “Go outside. Go explore.”
On the other hand, I wonder….Does exploring Target and TJ Maxx count?
How about exploring thrift stores to search for treasures???
Because if that’s the case, I am so mom of the year!

I’m not sure I entirely understand this question.
Are we being asked how we get our kids in the kitchen???
Because in my house, it’s all about keeping them out of the kitchen.
All day long, they are in and out, in and out. Needing this and that, and keeping the fridge door open… it kind of drives me nuts.
So, while one day I will have my husband teach them to cook for us, right now I just want them out.
In the most loving way possible, of course.

Way back in the day, I was so not concerned about health.
I never wanted to sweat so I didn’t work out, and I lived on cereal and pizza.
It was glorious.
And then my body started to fall apart, especially after having kids.
At that point, I started learning more about food, exercise and health, and it actually became interesting to me!
Now, we have completely changed our diet as a family, and while it’s challenging at times, I feel better knowing that I’m doing something good for my family.

Okay, is this something parents do on purpose?
As in, they intentionally plan out ways to play and learn together???
Because if that’s the case, I am really failing as a mother!
I just feel that they get so much of that at school, that when they’re home with me, it’s all about spending quality time as a family.
Or relaxing and learning to just be without always having to do.
So you see? Maybe I’m not such a bad mom after all!

This is something that I have really been struggling with lately.
I don’t know if it’s because it’s summertime and the kids are always around (which I love, I do…), or if it’s because I have just overloaded myself with too much to do.
In either case, I feel like I have way too many balls in the air and I’m starting to drop a few.
And that is so not okay with me because I chose each and every thing I’m involved in because I’m passionate about it, it’s just a matter of figuring out how to find a balance.
And I’m pretty sure that involves school starting.

Okay guys, now note this.
These videos are meant to be interactive!!!
They're not simply done so you can listen to us talk about our lives, it's about starting a conversation!!!
So, if you have thoughts or a funny story, or advice even (i need it!)
....comment!!!
{lots of exclamation points mean, do it!!!}
Or, just click on BAM or LOL and make me a happy little vlogger would ya?
But go ahead and skip the WTF's....
I'm too sensitive for that.
